It was at the Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she achieved one of the greatest moments in sports history - - the first ever perfect 10 for the asymmetrical bar. She went on to achieve an additional six perfect 10s which made her the most youthful Olympic all-around gold medalist at just fourteen years of age. She has not only drawn attention in all directions however she also assisted Romania get a foothold on the map of international recognition. In achieving an unachievable result her sporting legend became a legend and promoted gymnastics throughout the world. The perception of women gymnasts was changed by her achievements. The effect she had on Olympics was so great it is that 2 of her movements such as the toe-on movement and the release movement have been designated in honor of her. Both of them have been classified as being high-level difficult. Apart from the Olympics she also performed outstanding in each of the World Championships (World Championships) and European Championships. Thus, she became one of the most well-known and famous gymnasts. Following her move to the US, this 'Queen Of Olympics' took up modeling and promoting sports equipment.
